5 Awesome, AFFORDABLE Homes for Sale in Orlando

As home prices in Central Florida continue to rise, it might seem as though affordable homes in good condition are beginning to disappear. We took the time to browse through hundreds (yes, literally) of homes to find a few good deals you might have over looked. These 5 homes, all in or near some of the best and trendiest Orlando neighborhoods, can all be purchased for under the $300,000 price point. And some of these are seriously cool.

The smallest and most unique on our list is 1619 New York Avenue, located a block from the new The Yard development in Lake Formosa. With frontage directly on the lake, this sweet bungalow has been updated by someone who knows what’s in right now. Light, airy spaces and large windows, a mirrored wall that makes the living room feel huge, wood cabinets and built in breakfast bar, new appliances and French doors opening to a resort-style patio complete this home. Coming in at 1,337 SF, and listed at $298,900, it’s a great buy in a neighborhood that’s only going to get hotter. For more homes in this area, click here.

Next up at 1,400 SF and listed at $259,900, 3523 Price Avenue is a great, updated Mid-Century home in the Conway Gardens/Hourglass area south of Curry Ford Road. This home has a HUGE yard with great potential, and all of the finishes are modern and neutral. If you’re considering schools in your search, this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is in the new Kaley Lake Como K-8 District, and feeds to Boone High School. Another affordable home at $220,000 for 1,450 SF is this gem on Mizell street in the popular and accessible Conway area of Orlando. The Kitchen boasts granite countertops, upgraded wood cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. This home is truly move-in ready. Other great features include a brand-new pavered back yard recreation area with electrical connections for a future outdoor kitchen.

4425 South Fern Creek Avenue is another charming Mid-Century home with a great price tag. 1,872 SF and currently listed for $289,900, the home has hardwood and tile floors, and a lot of open living space for entertaining. Another moderately priced home with upgraded kitchen, appliances, and bathrooms, this one also has a good-sized Master Bedroom, an oversized screen patio, and a great wood-burning firepit outside to enjoy the outdoors when the weather is nice.

Last, but certainly not least, on our list is this whopper of a home in Lake Jessamine Estates. With 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, huge Living Room with vaulted ceilings and a fireplace, and a nice open kitchen, this home comes in at 2,371 SF and is priced at a modest $269,000. You’ll need to make some upgrades, but you can’t beat that size and location.
